Back in Delaware after the 2009 Presidential Inauguration

Posted in Inauguration trip by Ulf on January 23, 2009

bild5020Thanks to Alexander’s hospitality, I could spend the first days of this week in Washington, DC. Of course I attended Obama’s inauguration. It was amazing. I’ve never  seen so many people in one place before. We stood at the foot of Washington Monument which is luckily a bit elevated, so we had a very clear view to the Capitol. Still, the Capitol was 1.5 miles away, but they installed TV screens to bring Obama closer :-).

I’ll write a more detailled story about his trip after I finished both the Hawaii and the Christmas diaries.

It’s not for the birds, though! ;)

    Keep blogging!
