epicgames_logoClosed Source Software sometimes tends to have really interesting features. According to the Heise Newsticker, the copy protection routine of the computer game “Gears of War” ran amok on January 29th. Since that date the software complains that the executable has been altered (which is not true) and therefore won’t start.

The problem seems to be some certificate which expired:

    How can a copy protection routine run amok??? I mean, is it alive?
